Japanese yam hunter

It's not rain today for a long time.
I enjoyed joining the event of Nabari Green Club.
Today's activity was searching and digging Japanese wild yam.
Yam's leaves are characteristic.
They look like long hearts and tuned yellow in this season.
It is not so difficult for us to find them.
We found them and followed their stalk, and we could find the place where yam grew.

We tried to dig the place deeply.
It was hard work but a lot of fun.
Hunting is one of the primitive human activities.

Maybe we dug a hole as deep as 1meter more.

 We got it!

Long yam!
It is about 40cm long.
We finished digging them about 12 half o'clock.
We all were very hungry.

We cooked "Kimuchi Nabe".
"Nabe" is a dish cooked in an earthen pot at the table usually by the diners themselves.
"Kimuchi" is kimchi in english. It is Korean pickles a little bit hot.

Japanese wild yam were mashed and putted into it.
It looked like "Mochi (rice cake)" and tasted like it too.
I was very happy to eat.
